Hey Ethan, happy to have you here. I think my favourite idea is that caring is shown by which feelings we actually act on, compared to what we imagine ourselves caring about. I also liked how honestly you wrote about being seen trying before the success arrives. “You don’t lose respect for being public, only anonymity” that was a banger statement!
This was incredibly well-written Ethan! So many important takeaways in this. I completely understand how you feel about the podcast too. Sometimes the most support comes from strangers, but luckily you can't embarrass yourself unless YOU feel embarrassed. I just tell everyone I'm still learning because at this point why not? If you're going to judge someone for learning and trying, you're weird.
And if your friends act strange toward you that means you're REALLY doing something right.
I wrote instagram carousels for months. Literally it was a humiliation ritual. No one was liking or supporting anything I wrote. I had around 30 followers but I was getting hundreds of views and people from high school viewing my story but not following or liking a thing.
Hahahaha. It was like 9 months of that, but it all works out in the end. Don't give up, you have some great ideas for your show and it'll pay off. :)
Means the world haha! Thank you for being a valiant support of some of the stuff I’ve been doing! Also, dw, none of my friends are actually mean or annoying, I only included that example as a “if they acted like this, I wouldn’t care anymore” section!
I really appreciate this comment, thank you for taking ur time with this piece :)))

Great piece, and a good topic choice, brother. 🤍🙏
Appreciate it yo! Means so much you read this and took what I’d say was one of my favorite takeaways from this haha :D
Big thank you’s :DDDD
hahaha... great minds think alike!!
I’ve always been the one not caring, although that has gotten me complaints from people who blame me for being too nonchalant about many things.
Oh well, those people sound like losers haha
good insight, pookie
Aww thanks!!
Reminds me of the book The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fu**. You need to write a self-improvement book someday!
Aww thank you haha. Now that u mention it, I might as part of my life goals haha
Mark Manson is the goat!
